Who Protects Your Benefits At TSCL?
Kathy Angiolillo has been with TREA Senior Citizens League (TSCL) since November 1998. Starting as an Information Specialist, advancing to Legislative Analyst, and currently serving as Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs, Kathy is the person who keeps tabs on the latest legislative initiatives and Congressional hearings on issues of importance to seniors. Kathy's duties take her to the offices of various Congressional Members to discuss Notch Reform, Medicare, prescription drugs and long-term care needs. Kathy's unswerving efforts have helped TSCL build and maintain momentum on Notch Reform legislation. Early this year she convinced "Notch Fairness Act" sponsors Representatives Ralph Hall (D-TX) and Robert Wexler (D-FL), who were joined by Representative Robert Aderholt (R-AL), to hold a press conference. There they called upon President Bush to consider Notch Reform as part of any effort to reform Social Security. That effort was the first such Notch press conference since a 1994 Notch Commission almost killed action on the Notch issue completely. In addition to her busy schedule, Kathy is also taking the time to pursue a degree in Political Science. Kathy and her family currently reside in Woodbridge, Virginia.
