H.R. 2035—“Consumer Price Index for Elderly Consumers Act”
Sponsor: Representative Bernard Sanders (I-VT) introduced 5/25/2001.
Would require that the Consumer Price Index for Elderly Consumers (CPI-E) be used to compute Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLAs) for Social Security and Medicare benefits.
