S. 251 AFFORDABLE PRESCRIPTION DRUG LEGISLATION
Senator David Vitter (LA) introduced S. 251, titled the Pharmaceutical Market Access Act, on January 10, 2007. If approved by the Senate and House of Representatives, this bill would legalize importing prescription drugs via the internet and mail order for personal use. This legislation also provides for safeguards for counterfeit resistant and packaging and testing of drug imports.
