H.R. 1953, CONSUMER PRICE INDEX FOR ELDERLY CONSUMERS LEGISLATION INTRODUCED

Congressman Charles Gonzalez (TX-20) has introduced consumer price Index for elderly consumers (CPI-E) legislation. As you may know, a similar bill was introduced in the 109th Congress by then Congressman Bernie Sanders. H.R. 1953 would require a consumer price index for elderly consumers be used when determining the annual cost of living adjustments for Social Security benefits.
