Nevertheless, Congress is studying a number of changes to Social Security that would cut the benefits of both future and current U.S. senior citizen beneficiaries who worked and paid into Social Security legally. .TSCL Supports Bills to Prevent Premium Hike .Raise the age—currently 67 for people born in 1960 or later— at which workers become eligible for full retirement benefits; or .Fourth, one new cosponsor – Representative Raul Ruiz (CA-36) – signed on to Medicare Prescription Drug Price Negotiation Act (H.R. 242), bringing the total up to forty-four.
