Welcome Aboard to George A. Smith, the League`s new Chairman! We welcome George Smith as the newly elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the League. Board members are volunteers who are elected to serve for two years. The Chairman may serve two consecutive terms. George is 71 years old, served 21 years in the US Army and recently celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary. George has a special interest in helping others and has worked extensively in the past to assist the disabled, armed service retirees and their dependents. As a priority for his term, George plans to lead the League in exploring new ways of serving our members. He replaces Howard Mabry to whom the staff and Board of Trustees give their heartfelt thanks for his service and best wishes for the future.
