We built this web site for YOU -- seniors and people who care about them. We continue to create, and find, articles that we think will be useful to you. We especially focus on Notch Reform, a Fair Social Security COLA, and Prescription Drug Coverage for Seniors, our primary issues. We also include worthwhile articles on health, gardening, and consumer protection issues that we think most pertain to seniors.
We have divided the site up into sections, just like a newspaper. They’re all listed on our home page. With one click of your mouse on any of the blue section headings, you can get right to that page, which lists all of the current articles on that subject.
Advocacy: We believe that our strength is multiplied when we speak with one voice on seniors issues. That’s why we encourage you to take advantage of our high-tech Grassroots Lobbying Section. You can look up your own Senators and Representative in Congress, based on your address. You can learn about them, where they stand on issues, and even contact them by phone, mail, or fax, or e-mail them right from your computer!
Site Search: On every section page, right in the middle at the top, there’s a box under the word “Search”. You can enter any word or phrase in this box, and click the blue word “Go” next to it. You will then view a page that lists all of the pages on our site that contain that word or phrase, along with a sentence or two from that page that highlight the word you’re looking for. A tip on the “search” function: if you type two words, it will look for any page that contains either word. To search on a phrase, put the words in quotes. For example, if you enter “notch reform” you will see 193 pages that contain the phrase “notch reform.” If you enter notch reform without the quotes you’ll see 972 pages that contain the word “notch” or the word “reform.”
Just so you know where you are at all times, there’s a “breadcrumb trail” on each section page, that shows you where you are and how to get back “home.” It’s right above the content for that page, between the two sets of black ruled lines.
Many of the articles on our site were originally published in our newsletter. You can subscribe to it electronically online, so each issue will appear in your e-mail inbox 10 times per year.
If you need personal help, don’t hesitate to send us an e-mail and we’ll try to answer it the same day. We want your visit to TSCL.org to be informative and fun!
