Many beneficiaries did not see any growth in their net Social Security benefits until they received a 2.8% COLA in 2019. ."'We trace this mortality effect to cutbacks in life-saving medicines like statins and antihypertensives, for which clinical trials show large mortality benefits,' the researchers wrote. .Most individual taxpayers will pay lower taxes, at least in the first few years, tax analysts say.
